  • On the Shores of Freedom - Mareks Radzēvičs

Beautiful minds say that music is a flight of imagination, but I like to say that music is the cheapest plane ticket because when you close your eyes and just listen, you could be anywhere. When I started working on this composition, in my thoughts and feelings I was already in Malta. I could clearly remember the first time I was there – surrounded by the sea, the rocky cliffs and sandy shores, taking in all the unbelievably beautiful sunsets and magnificent views. I remember feeling this overwhelming internal and external freedom, literally giving me a jolt of energy to breath, smile, be inspired and to work and create. I wish that this can take you there and that even the smallest part of this sentiment could reach you.
The biggest thank you to Laura Krēmane, Līga Banga and Ritvars Bluka for all you do. Special thanks to Arnolds Antanāvičs from Shaft Barbershop and Jāzeps Podnieks!

  • Brividi - Mahmood, BLANCO

Ever since I was a child, I have considered Italy to be the birthplace of music. A place where the greatest and strongest vocalists, instrumentalists, composers and, of course, violin makers were born. This perhaps is the reason why every now and then I get inspired to record an Italian piece. I started working on the beautiful “Brividi” arrangement after hearing it on the Eurovision song contest, it gave me chills and pulled at my heart strings. But as there were always new projects on the go, this remained half finished for a while. As the saying goes, there is right time and right place for everything and, I believe, now is the right time. And how could the beautiful lake Como not be the right place for filming this video?
Thank you for your support and sticking with me – Jānis Dunkurs, Artis Mihailovs, Laura Krēmane, Agnese Sils, Alise Mihimana, Liene Pētersone, Lāsma Znotiņa, Arvis Zēmanis, Roberts Sudrabs.

Delighted to share another greeting from the majestic Norway! We went on a boat ride, climbed to a snowy mountain top, while freezing ourselves and the cello, but what a fantastic adventure that was!

  • Endless Peaks - Mareks Radzēvičs

Endless Peaks is the story about each of us. Ups and downs, unpredictable turns and challenges, outlasted by boring plains – such is the road to the top which almost always is out of sight for others. And when one peak has been reached new heights to be are revealed. Those are endless peaks and never-ending roads, but the view from the top makes it all worth it.
Special thanks to Laura Krēmane and Līga Banga for your support during and outside the filming, and keeping it fun throughout the trip.

  • Leave a Light On - Tom Walker

At the end of the last year, I had a great honor to be a part of the Liepaja city Mayor's Reception for which this video was made. Specially for this program, I created an arrangement for the song “Leave a Light On” which is really a dedication to my childhood city of Liepaja. Liepaja is known as the city of wind with a fantastic beach and a large pier. Little beats against cello’s body imitates the sound waves make when hitting against the rocks on the pier. I also tried to recreate an orchestral sound by playing various cello lines as well as to reflect Liepaja’s wind and power. This arrangement is a reflection of how I remember and feel this very special windy city. Liepaja has laid the foundations for many significant things in my life, has shaped me into who I am today, and is definitely one of the reasons why I love music so much.

  • The Lost One - Mareks Radzevics & Electricano

"The Lost One" is about getting lost in thought. It's about the heaviness created by disorganized, incomplete and negative thoughts.
It's about inner chaos so overwhelming that it can consume everything around us and change the course of one’s life.

This is a special collaboration that allows everyone to see something different. It could be a story about being lost. Or it could be a
story about a person finding himself through the deepest emptiness. Which story is more appealing? It is up to you to choose.

    Flow - Mareks Radzevics

Mareks's second original song “Flow”. It is a flow of emotions, rhythm and melody, it is the process of constant change
and movement. Just like the stream of water, life can be calm and clear, and at times wild and unpredictable.

“Hello, my name is Medea. This is a page of my pravite diary, the one in which I’m writing about my new life here in Sweden. This evening I was thinking about very important decision to take, and I was scared both for the yes and for the no. Then I arrived here and your music, the passion I have seen in you, made me remember that life is too short to be lazy, or to fear the change. Is been a lifetime since I had the last chance to sit and listen to such a beautiful music with all my soul and min payin’ attention. Thank you, for your treat and for being exactly where I needed you to be in this particular but happy moment of my life.” "

Saw you behind PUB in August, and it was amazing. You bring joy to everyone who passes by. Keep up the amazing work Mareks!
“Hi! My message is maybe weird, but I had to tell you: you are an incredible musician. I saw you twice in Stockholm last weekend, and I think I could've listen to you for hours and hours. Anyway, I know that sometimes this kind a career could be tough, not much compliments for all the work you should put in it, so I thought that maybe this little message could make you feel happy. So good luck for everything, keep going that way, your talent should be heard everywhere!”
